New for this year – The QBE Shootout fan experience will be significantly enhanced thanks to a partnership with Jasper Contractors, who will be sponsoring a new spectator bridge connecting the 1st hole and 9th hole at Tiburón Golf Club. The Jasper Contractors Spectator Bridge will allow fans to enjoy the 1st tee action and then efficiently move to the prime viewing area between holes 8, 9, 17 & 18.
“Our tournament team has been exploring the possibility of building a spectator bridge for the past few years. Thanks to the tremendous support of our new partner, Jasper Contractors, we are excited to make this a reality. The Jasper Contractors Spectator Bridge will greatly enhance the tournament viewing experience for our loyal fans,” Tournament Director Rob Hartman said.
“We are excited to be a part of such a great event for the Naples community and are proud to be able to partner with this event to showcase the Jasper Contractors Spectator Bridge. Jasper’s sponsorship of this enhancement to the tournament experience is the perfect way for us to be a part of celebrating the 30th year of this event,” said Jasper Contractors CEO Brian Wedding.
The QBE Shootout will once again feature a scramble format during the first round, a modified alternate shot format on Saturday and a final-round four ball on Sunday. Golf Channel will broadcast Friday’s round live from 1:30 – 4:30 pm while Saturday & Sunday will feature live Golf Channel coverage from 1:00 – 2:00 pm and NBC from 2:00 – 4:00 pm ET.
CureSearch for Children’s Cancer continues to be the tournament’s primary charitable beneficiary. Since 1989, the Shootout has raised more than $13.5 million as well as awareness for a variety of worthy causes.
