NAPLES, FL. (October 26, 2021) – Tournament host Greg Norman announced today the 24 players set to compete in the 2021 QBE Shootout. The tournament will be held December 8-12 and will celebrate its 21st year at Tiburón Golf Club at The Ritz-Carlton Golf Resort, Naples.

This year’s field will feature 13 of the top 50 ranked players in the world including No. 15 Harris English, (19) Sam Burns, (20) Billy Horschel, (28) Kevin Na, (29) Jason Kokrak, (33) Max Homa, (35) Corey Conners, (36) Marc Leishman, (37) Lee Westwood, (40) Kevin Kisner, (41) Ryan Palmer, (49) Brian Harman and (50) Ian Poulter.

Ten players competing for the Shootout’s $3.6 million purse combined for fourteen (14) victories during the 2020-21 season and the recent start of the 2021-22 season. English, who returns as defending champion with Matt Kuchar, won twice during that stretch, as did Burns, Kokrak and Homa. Hudson Swafford, Na, Horschel, K.H. Lee, Leishman and Kisner were all individual winners, too.

Collectively, the 24 players have accumulated 109 career PGA TOUR victories and 11 LPGA titles.

Several QBE Shootout veterans are set to return, including two-time Masters Champion Bubba Watson, who will be making his 5th consecutive and 7th appearance overall. Major champion Graeme McDowell will be making his 9th start. Major champion and former world no. 1 Jason Day returns to the event for the 3rd time. Ryan Palmer is competing for the 4th time and Harold Varner III will be making his 4th straight appearance in Naples. Lexi Thompson returns for the 5th time and England’s Lee Westwood is in the field for the first time since 2013, his only start.

In addition, past Shootout champions Brandt Snedeker, victorious U.S. Ryder Cup captain Steve Stricker and Sean O’Hair will join two-time champions English and Kuchar. Day, Poulter and Harman were also on winning teams in the past.

Four players will be competing in the Shootout for the first time, including Burns, Homa, Lee and Swafford.

“We are so excited to have the fans back as we prepare for the 33rd edition of the QBE Shootout and 21st at Tiburón Golf Club,” Tournament Host Greg Norman said. “The collection of players assembled to compete is very strong and includes rising stars, major champions and PGA TOUR winners who will deliver an exciting three days of team competition for our global television audience and a first-class hospitality experience for our pro-am partners. More importantly, we will continue to raise charitable funds and awareness for CureSearch for Children’s Cancer and other worthy causes.”

Golf Channel will broadcast Friday’s first round competition live from 12:00 - 4:00 p.m. ET. Over the weekend, the final two rounds will feature live coverage on both Golf Channel and NBC. Saturday’s coverage will begin from 1:00-3:00 p.m. on Golf Channel then switching to NBC from 3:00 - 5:00 p.m. The final round will air on Golf Channel from 12:00 - 2:00 p.m. and on NBC from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m.

The QBE Shootout will once again feature a scramble format during the first round, a modified alternate shot format on Saturday and a final-round better ball on Sunday.

CureSearch for Children’s Cancer will continue to be the tournament’s primary charitable beneficiary. Since 1989, the Shootout has raised more than $15 million for charitable causes.

“We are proud to support the QBE Shootout and I’m thrilled about this year’s player field,” said Todd Jones, CEO of QBE North America. “Once again, this world class event will offer three days of exciting, competitive golf, while contributing to charities that make important contributions to the community.”
