GRAEME McDOWELL: And I just watched, it was awesome.
Q. Wow, you guys are making this seem mundane. But how about just that chemistry between you two? Last year you finished runner-up beside Shane Lowry, so what do you enjoy so much about this event?
GRAEME McDOWELL: I think the key to playing well in events like this is, you know, just having a great partner really. You know, I always say, What's the key to a great Ryder Cup record? Having great partners. So Emiliano and I nearly played together last year. We played a little bit together and hung out. He's obviously playing great towards the end of the season and he played really, really well today. I was very average, to be honest. I came in when I was needed a few times, but I've got a little bit of improving to do to keep up with my man here this weekend.
Q. How about the fact with the pair that you were grouped up with? They were playing very well. Were you guys kind of going tit for tat there?
EMILIANO GRILLO: I thought we played better, but we ended up -- no, they played really good. When they got in a little bit of trouble, it seemed they had a little bit of trouble, were able to make a birdie from there, it was a good round. They were able to close with a couple birdies coming in. We're kind of happy with that.
Q. (Question about matching shirts.)
GRAEME McDOWELL: I kind of feel like every year I play here we try and match up shirts. I think it's just fun. It gets in the spirit of the team contest and, you know, the team stuff's so much fun. We have the same shirt all weekend. Like I said, spirit of the event, shall we say.
Q. Do you choose or is he going to --
EMILIANO GRILLO: He chose.
GRAEME McDOWELL: It's like, hey, what shirts do you have? This is what I have and this is what you have, so let's just try and get three shirts that are similar together. Like I say, it's just fun to do and something I feel like I've always done in this tournament. There's Kevin Kisner, good looking man that he is. No, it's fun to do.
Q. What was this like for you for the first day?
EMILIANO GRILLO: Oh, it was a lot of fun. It's like you play a little bit more nervous and a little bit more relaxed at the same time.
